WILD BY CHERYL STRAYED

Memoirs have not always been my first pick, but as soon as I started WILD i knew i would not regret reading this one. Strayed makes you feel as though you are walking those miles with her, and let's face, she makes it all sound quiet pleasant to be in the wilderness. The story is told with such honesty and warmth that you can’t help falling in love with this book.

“I'd finally come to understand what it had been: a yearning for a way out, when actually what I had wanted to find was a way in.”

A truly inspiring memoir of a woman who is set out to discover herself.

After the sudden death of her mother and being estranged from her siblings, she gets drawn into drugs. Divorcing her husband, at just 22 she loses her purpose of life itself.

Just when she thought she had lost everything. Cheryl Strayed sets out for three months with a backpack on 11,000 miles journey on the pacific crest trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to the border with Washington State. With absolutely no experience in hiking and one shoe down. Unaware of what nature is going to throw back at her. She finds herself.

The strangers she met on the way , she now calls her friends The encounters with the wildlife on every trail she vanquished. The extreme weather conditions over the mountain ranges. She sees herself change through it all.

What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger, and she stayed true to the fact.

A journey from lost to found indeed.
